The City’s purchase of the Coffee Bluff Marina guarantees public access to the Forest River, maintaining an important boating facility and creating a public space on Coffee Bluff. It is the only City-owned marina in Savannah. The marina is currently slated for development. Planned improvements include construction of a new fishing pier, a large picnic shelter and playground, replacement and expansion of the floating dock, a new marina store, replacement of the boat hoist, dedicated parking for vehicles with boat trailers, and additional covered boat storage shelter.
